| During 2005, the Kentucky Healthy Homes Project is focusing on four key issues: mold & mildew, asthma triggers, secondhand smoke and mercury safety. Training sessions conducted in March provided Extension agents and volunteers with knowledge and resource materials to conduct outreach programs at the county level. The Kentucky Healthy Homes Coordinators are assembling teaching supply kits for use throughout the state to aid in delivering these programs. A new Web site with information about mercury issues is available at http://www.ca.uky.edu/enri/mercury/. The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture exhibit at the Kentucky State Fair in August 2005 will provide fairgoers an opportunity to learn more about lead, radon, indoor air quality, mold, asthma triggers, and energy efficiency. | ||
