Protecting children from lead poisoning--new lower levels proposed for defining lead poisoning

Advisors to the CDC are urging that agency to lower the definition of lead poisoning from blood lead levels of 10ugm per deciliter of blood to 5 micrograms.

In the U.S. most children get lead poisoning from dust from peeling, chipping, lead-based paint in buildings built before 1978.
